The Abuja based photographer Chika Ekezie popularly known as Mr Magic while speaking to AbujaNow said the agency was launched to make a difference while fulfilling the yearnings of models that have been rejected by the industry.
Pearls By Magic is an editorial, beauty, fashion, glamour and commercial modelling agency established to bring out the best from every unique model no matter the height, body size, complexion or flaws. Our aim is to work with these models to create great contents that will lead to good paying jobs with cosmetics and beauty brands which will ultimately boost their confidence and self-esteem.
Pearls By Magic is here to bring out the Magic in every model who thought all was lost because they were rejected by potential clients and agencies previously. We are dedicated to teaching these models the necessary attitude and attributes to possess in order to have a more credible portfolio as they work with other creatives in the industry

Honestly speaking the response hasn’t been so bad and as a matter of fact, the response has exceeded my expectation and am happy people believe that Pearls By Magic has the capacity to help them have their dream career. We are not discouraged by the nay sayers. Our new studio has also been a huge blessing. Though we have very limited equipment, we are doing our best to make use of the space and what we have available
Mr Magic went on to speak on the model management industry as a whole and how Abuja compares to Lagos
Modelling agencies in Abuja are doing a great job trying to create a solid statement in the industry but in particular, I will applaud ENROLE and GNG modelling agencies for raising the bar and making sure the models here in Abuja are assured of a great modelling career especially in runway modelling and high fashion. Lagos is a whole different ball game altogether as that was where I got to really understand what modelling is really about and how an agency is supposed to be structured. The agencies in Lagos thrive in the industry so much more because there are more models, agencies, clients, brands and many opportunities
On his future plans, Mr Magic had this to say
We have so many future goals that we would be achieving as times goes on but on our immediate plans, we will be working on something called Model Mondays With Mr Magic. This will be a question and answer session about the modelling industry and about models being their own brands first
