Abuja is a complex city that has defied many but one of the first people to crack the city is the PR lord Eddie Madaki who some people refer to as Black Hulk. Eddie didn’t start out looking like a hulk. He was actually originally model, but don’t worry, you are in luck. We will be telling you some of very interesting things you might not know about Eddie Madaki and his biography.
1 . Eddie Madaki hails from Idoma in Benue state. He is skilled in taekwondo and really loves to gym. Eddie generally just loves working hard.
2 . Between the age of nine and twelve Eddie was part of Hebrew Boys, a four-boy gospel band made up of himself, Andy, Joshua and Caleb. This band ended up going on tours with the likes of Panam Pecey Paul and Dr Uma Okpai. This was actually Eddie’s first claim to fame. The band disbanded after primary school before they all headed to boarding house.
3 . As a kid Eddie wasn’t allowed to go out much so he spent most of his free time developing himself by reading lots of books, messing with computers and drawing
4 . Because of his drawing skills Eddie ended up studying architecture at the university of Jos. He graduated in 2006.
5 . Entertainment found him while in UniJos and he teamed up with his friends Katung, Wale and Victor to found Black Collar Entertainment. They had the support of brands like MTN and GLO and during their Black Collar project they brought artist like MI to perform.
6 . In 2006 Eddie’s brother Andy signed him up for Gulder Ultimate Search 3. He didn’t win but he was among the last men standing. The exposure from GUS3 enabled him to model and do series of TV gigs while in Lagos.
7 . His search and hunger for fame and success didn’t end there as on his return to Abuja he was part of a BBC TV series called Wetin Dey along side the likes of Ali Nuhu, Abubarka Sadiq and many others.
8 . Eddie as a youth corper served with a bank and ended up spending nine good years in the banking sector. He went through Oceanic bank, Eco bank and then left Union bank as a manger in 2015. Surprised yeah? We too.
9 . Eddie Madaki’s love for speaking made him take up side jobs as compere for mostly corporate events and that was how iBlend was birthed. Don’t forget Eddie studies architecture but ended up a banker, event compere and now a publicist. He is today a well-trained publicist, media consultant, certified events compère, integrated marketing and communication strategist among others.
10 . Eddie has always believed in love and this made him plenty of Mill and Boon back then. Eddie is today married to the love of his life Lulu Evong. Eddie is still very married to his original love which is marketing and communications. He currently represents the cognac brand Louis XIII and Remy Martins. He is also the convener of festivals of light, At the Club with Remy Martin and Sunglasses and Advil.
