Ty B is an Abuja based artiste that specializes in afroswing and aims to create a seemingly timeless experience for his listeners. He hope to do this by expressing himself authentically through his vulnerable and raw form.
Ty B dropped his debut single Go Down on November 8 2020 and here is what he has to say about his inspiration for the song.
Go Down was inspired by a girl I met at a party with friends in Plymouth. The moment we locked eye contact, it was a team effort to get on the dance floor. She was with her man tho🤪….but we vibed anyway. Spent the whole night with her and after that night, we never saw each other again, although we exchanged contacts. I’ll never forget the happy vibes she gave me that night
Currently a student at Nile University in Abuja, Ty B speaks further on his person
My character is greatly influenced by the kind of music I listen to and that’s what I’m trying to give back with my songs. I am learning to take it easy like wizkid, swagger and confidence like Davido, ambition like Omah lay and strength from my producer Mr Klef who actually fell very ill while making this song (probably because the jam was sick)
Heavily influenced by his favourite artiste “Davido” he acknowledges the need to pay homage to his cultural background by the infusion of the Naija style thereby creating a blend of Afro Swing. TY B is already working on his next single with popular Abuja producer DJ konsept.
