It was sunny Thursday morning I arrived at The Dome Abuja in company of some Abuja based influencers. Stairs carved out of rocks takes you down to the back entrance where you have the insanely neat and beautiful swimming pool, the barbeque and paradicio garden. The ground floor of the paradicio garden is where you can order your drinks and wine.
Walking up to the top floor on Stainless Steel stairs with glass handle leads you to like the lounge of the garden and what caught my eyes were the block pillars carved into a tree like form, painted tree brown. It can almost make you believe it’s a real tree holding the top structure. Soothing sounds made by the river just beside the Dome helps you relax more while having your drink. The menu is mad fancy and classy. Maroon Leather body with a silver lock.
The barbeque is just beside paradicio garden. You can get your grilled chicken, meat, fish and poultry. The pool is surrounded with beach stones that can makes walking with shoes difficult almost like you’re voguing while walking. There are raffia chairs but made from plastic, hanging beside the pool with pillows for comfort and on the opposing end is the loungy siting areas.
Camelot spa is hard to pass by so we stepped in to take a look and was overwhelmed by its neatness. It was really high class and their services is world class. They even showed us a machine which could take 10 years off your face.
After the welcoming spa tour, we met face to face with nino’s pizza place which is said to have the best pizza in the whole of Abuja and after I tasted it, all my doubts were cleared. Nino’s pizza It’s an outdoor pizza place good for entertainment if you’re done with your food or just wanna play.
Other places we visited was the bowling, snooker and other gaming arena. We also toured the Francis hotel with beautiful rooms. Not forgetting the pastry shop and restaurant where we eventually had our meal with other influencers.
For appetizer we broke the rules and had fruit cake, which was the right amount of sweet. For FOOD we had white rice with garnished spaghetti and sauced lamb and Indian fried rice with garnished spaghetti and sauce lamb. I personally thought the rice had sugar in it, but as for the spaghetti I loved it and the sauced lamb… That was the first time I was having lamb and it was amazing, so tender that it melts right in your mouth. The sauce that helped me eat the rice. For now, I’ll just stick to regular Nigerian rice that am used to it. Maybe tomorrow I’ll explore another rice and love it.
Then for dessert, while some had strawberry yoghurt and chocolate scones, I just had chocolate scones. In the middle of our food we introduced ourselves and what we did. One thing you can’t pretend not to notice at the dome is the neatness, like it’s really clean both inside and out, and am not just talking about the spa alone but the whole environment. My verdict is that there is more to The Dome than most people know. I went through their menu and it as endless options and the prices were fair. I’m going back for sure.
