ABUJA, Nigeria — The Techy Accountant Community; an initiative of The Lefort Foundation aims to build a strong global virtual/real-time network whereby experienced accounting and finance professionals serve as mentors and provide hands-on expert guidance to younger professionals.
Conceived among several professional life and career-advancement projects, the foundation set-up ‘The Techy Accountant Academy’ and now, ‘The Techy Accountant Community’. The Techy Accountant Academy dispenses practical training to young finance and accounting graduates and professionals, equipping them with the skills they require to excel in todays’ business place and connecting them with Small and Medium Scale Enterprises amongst other businesses that require their skills and services to thrive in their respective areas of industry, while The Techy Accountant Community will be a global fora connecting all Finance Professionals around the world, thereby creating a synergy between the very skillful and experts and the new bees and upcoming whose potential to excel depends on the former whom they would not have been able to access without The Techy Accountant Community.
On the 27th day of July, 2020, The Lefort Foundation launches the community kicking off with over 100 professionals from around the globe, connecting and engaging virtually on a variety of topics and opportunities pertaining to the industry.
The founder, Mrs Toyin Olufon speaking about the launch started by quoting Helen Keller, ‘Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much”. She further revealed that the platform is available to address a broad suite of challenges faced by professionals in their career journey.

Through the Techy Accountant Academy which was first in time, over 100 young graduates and professionals have been trained, some of whom secured gainful employments with access to a community of experienced professionals for continuous support. With the launch of The Community, the goal is to foster meaningful conversations which creates professional connections that collectively strengthen this global community.
As finance professionals, we must lean on one another for collective insights, continuous learning, kindness, and compassion to make our world a better place.
