It’s been a good time to be alive and to get to listen to some very cool music that fell into our ears today. This year we have seen so many Abuja artist hitting the streaming platforms with various sounds and good stuffs.
Target – Ucee ft Eeskay, Zilla Oak, Drayko and B1g Nova
Ucee’s ability to produce and sing allows him to carve his own niche. This new project titled “Target” which he featured Eeskay, Zilla, Drayko and B1g Nova is simply one of the hardest core rap songs out of the city in 2020. Eeskay was left with the hook while Zilla dropped the first verse and the last verse was finished off by B1g Nova.
Omo – Tracker
After making waves with his previous single “Balance”, Tracker is back with some melodious afro sound, with some Fuji infused sound titled “Omo”. This is his second single for the year 2020 and if you love the Fuji sound, then it’s definitely for you.
My Oasis – Sam Smith ft Burna Boy
Burna Boy is quite familiar with the UK artists, considering that most of his collaborations come from that region. This makes it easy for Sam Smith to use the opportunity to have his vocals on this song “My Oasis”.
The melodious tune had Burna Boy serve us his afro fusion style, taking the second verse of the song as he flaunts his versatility, taking us through the same motions as Sam Smith.
Tesina Pot – Jaido P ft Olamide
Afro pop new artist Jaido P teams up with Olamide to deliver this banger “Tesina Pot”. This is Olamide’s first release since his “999” mixtape.
The song “Tesina pot”, is a perfect street dose which blends with the Olamide signature and the yearnings of the street. “Tesi” is a message from the budding street king, of his readiness to tread the footprint of the legendary Olamide while adding his versatility as a millennial.
Abule – Patoranking
As we await the new announced album, which would be dropping late August, Patoranking drops his new single to celebrate the success of his upcoming Album.
“Abule” is a celebration of Patoranking’s home, the neighbourhood of Ebute Metta. Through the dancehall record, Patoranking is effusive about his neighborhood, describing his community, the fun they have and how dearly he holds on to his locale – despite his huge international success.
