A preview clip of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey has been released. In it, Harry said he stepped back from this royal duties because he feared what happened to his mother would happen to Meghan.
“My biggest fear was history repeating itself,” said Harry, who has blamed media harassment for his mother’s death.
In a second clip, he added: “I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her [Diana] going through this process by herself all those years ago. Because it’s been unbelievably tough for the two of us but at least we have each other.”
In another part of the interview, Oprah asked whether there had been a “breaking point” as she made reference to a comment by Meghan about royal life being “almost unsurvivable”.
